Anyone can list technologies.
The difference is the calls you make.
Every project has a moment where two paths diverge and the obvious one is wrong. Here’s how I think about three of them — pulled straight from real academy builds.
The problem
The academy’s staff aren’t developers, but their content changes constantly — new courses, faculty, results, resources.
I gave the client the keys.
I built an admin CMS the team runs themselves, instead of a site that needs me for every edit.
Why this call
Ownership only means something if you can use it. A site its owner can’t update slowly dies.
The result
Staff publish courses, resources, and blog posts on their own — no developer in the loop.
The problem
In a timed IELTS practice test, a timer that drifts or freezes destroys the one thing students came for: a realistic run.
I treated the exam clock as the product.
I engineered the exam timer as the core of the experience — accurate and dependable, not an afterthought bolted onto a form.
Why this call
In assessment, the integrity of the clock is the experience. Everything else is secondary.
The result
Students practise on an engine that behaves like the real exam, so their scores mean something.
The problem
An academy lives or dies on being found — but a standard React app is close to invisible to search engines.
I made a React app findable.
I added a custom prerendering step so every page ships real, crawlable HTML while staying a fast single-page app.
Why this call
For a school, findability isn’t a marketing add-on — it’s an enrolment channel.
The result
Fast pages that search engines can actually read, without giving up the app-like feel.
What I build
Three ways I help teams grow online — each engineered for performance, search visibility, and long-term ownership.
Academy & learning platforms
Coaching institutes, academies, and EdTech businesses.
A platform that wins enrolments and genuinely supports students — one system for your marketing, your students, and your team.
- Marketing site that builds trust and captures enquiries
- Student portal (courses, progress, resources)
- Faculty & admin dashboards
- Self-serve CMS so your team updates content — no developer needed
Business websites
Startups, agencies, and professional services.
A fast, credible website that makes a good business look the part — and turns visitors into enquiries.
- Positioning & messaging that speaks to your buyer
- Custom design and build (no template look)
- Responsive across every device
- Performance optimisation (fast on any connection)
Performance & SEO
Existing sites that load slowly or stay invisible.
A faster site that ranks and converts better — measured before and after, not guessed.
- Full performance & SEO audit with a prioritised plan
- Core Web Vitals & Lighthouse optimisation
- Technical SEO (crawlability, structure, metadata)
- Structured data for rich search results
And the building blocks that turn a site into a system:
- AI integration
- Payments
- Secure auth
- Admin dashboards
- CMS
- Booking & scheduling
- Analytics
- Technical SEO
- Performance
- API integrations
- Cloud deployment
- Accessibility
A calm, senior process
Four clear steps, agreed up front. You always know where things stand and what happens next.
- 1
Understand
We start with the business: your goals, your audience, and what a win looks like. Not the tech.
- 2
Design
Structure and interface built for clarity, trust, and conversion. You see it before it’s built.
- 3
Build
Fast, accessible, SEO-strong engineering — no shortcuts, no throwaway code.
- 4
Launch & support
Deployment, a clean handover you fully own, and ongoing improvements as you grow.

The person behind the work
You’re hiring a person, not a pipeline.
I’m Adil Shaikh — a full-stack developer who’s spent the last few years building EdTech platforms and fast marketing sites for teams around the world. Hiring a developer you’ve never met is a leap of faith, especially across time zones. So I keep the deal simple and the trust earned:
- The person you talk to is the person who builds it.
- One point of contact — no account managers, no handoffs.
- I own the outcome from the first call to launch and beyond.
Two academies already trusted me to build the platform their business runs on.
A full-stack learning platform — marketing site, student portal, faculty tools, and an admin CMS the team runs themselves. Built for trust and long-term scale.
A multi-role IELTS platform with AI-assisted writing feedback, a timed exam engine, live classes, and integrated payments.
Questions, answered
The things people ask before we start — timeline, pricing, ownership, and how we’ll work together.
Let’s build something fast, findable, and built to convert.
